your hands could've turned bright red during the short walk from your car to your classroom today due to the ridiculous windchill. they went numb. NUMB. i've never experienced anything like it before. The shock of a 70 degree temperature drop has left EVERYONE sick too.

18. no buses?
or public transportation?

walking is rough in this weather, gotta worry about getting splashed by slush, frostbite, and the general badness that goes along with exercising in extremely cold weather.

25. i have this ridiculously ugly hat.
think uncle buck with about about another inch of fur covering it, and it's grey. it's seriously the ugliest thing ever, but it keeps me so damn warm. plus, if you flip up the ear flaps, we have what is known as "genghis khan mode" with it's fake horns.

"a lot of people hate this hat, the very sight of it enrages them beyond belief."

I was kinda creeped out. A few years ago, my friend Dave bought it as a joke, his g/f hated it so much she made him give it to me. Then, all he did was complain about how much he liked that hat, so she had to go out and buy him a new one, essentially, I received a free ugly freakin' hat.

when it's this cold out, you need to wear as much padding as possible to stay warm.

31. I have an ear flap hat!
it was the only women's hat at target that covered the ears. It's pink suede-looking stuff, but it's still heinous. I wore it over the hood on my hoodie, so it looked extra-tall and embarassing. Although now, I think everyone here kind of has an agreement to just wear whatever the hell is necessary and not to make fun of anyone.

in Vista. Beautiful beaches up (or maybe down?) the coast! I particularly remember one that might have been called Moonlit? It had rock cliffs with a lot of colorful stuff growing on them. Though it was actually rather cold when I went! I think usually in the mid 60-s during the day, in March.

They all have they're attractions.
