Sissy Spacek is in the new "Ring" movie.
I don't know why but I'm really excited about this. I kinda liked the first "Ring" movie, it wasn't great but there was something about it that stuck with me. I don't know how good or bad the second one will be but I'm just glad to see Spacek in a horror movie again. Whether Spacek likes or admits it, she is sort of a horror movie icon thanks to "Carrie", however, she hasn't done a horror movie since then. Maybe she didn't want to be pigeonholed as a "spooky actress"/"scream queen". Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing her in something other than the family dramas and comedies she's been doing for some time now.

1. It looks dumb, but the first was scary as hell. I'm seeing it anyway.

Hideo Nakata, who directed the original "Ringu," is directing this one. It should be awesome, but it looks cheesy from the previews. I hope it's good.

3. I didn't like the original "Ringu".
I know that American remakes of foreign films tend to be crappy but I think "The Ring" is far superior to "Ringu". I don't know what to expect from the sequel. I'm just excited about Sissy Spacek.

4. She doesn't have to.
All she has to do is be Sissy. I'm a fan of hers as you can tell.
