Subject: Lafayette Social Security Town Hall Meeting
Louisiana United to Protect Social Security would like to invite you to attend a Town Hall to discuss Pres. Bush's plan to privatize Social Security and specifically what its impact is on Louisianans. This event will conclude a five week effort by voters in Rep. Boustany's district to simply have him take a stand in opposition or in support of the deep benefit cut that Pres. Bush has based his plan on.
We had hoped Rep. Boustany would accept our invitation to attend but after our discussion of the recently released report on privatization's impact on Louisiana you'll have a better understanding of just why Rep. Boustany is having such a tough time facing his constituents and Taking A Stand.
A large attendance at this event is absolutely crucial to its success and the fight to save Social Security. Rep. Boustany must know that there is more than token opposition to the President's plan to ensure his vote will be cast for the Louisianans that he represents and not the investors on Wall Street.
WHEN : Thursday, June 2nd at 6:30-8:00pm
WHERE : Best Western Acadiana Hotel St. Mary Conference Room 1801 W Pinhook Rd. Lafayette, LA 70508
WHO : Louisiana United for Social Security
WHAT : "Take A Stand" Town Hall for Rep. Boustany
Let's do everything we can to get as many folks to this town hall to make sure that Rep. Boustany knows where his district stands on privatization!
Best regards, Alex Morgan
