What happened to $92 million given to Attawapiskat?
Apparently the government gave that amount of money to someone who was in charge at Attawapiskat and nothing was done for the people. There are only about 2000 people living there and that amount of money could have done wonders for a community that size. WHERE DID THE MONEY GO? NOBODY is talking about this since it was first revealed at the beginning of this incident. Everyone agreed that the money was given....so why is there no mention of this money anymore????

Meanwhile the people living in Attawapiskat are suffering!!!

4. The point I'm making is that when all this was first brought
to our attention, they talked about the $92 million, which was not disputed....Since then silence...Why?

5. Go
Find some written information.

They! They who? They happen to be the Conservatives. That's who they are. So now you are taking what they say, hook line and sinker?

If you would search a bit, and come up with some information it might answer some of your questions before you ask them.

You have no right to talk to me like that. I'm thinking perhaps someone who saw the original conversation about this matter will have something to say about it....I have nothing more to say to you.

I believe Harper is the worst thing to ever happen to our country!!!!!!!

8. I believe that was over a period of 5 or so years
You are buying into the media meme of the moment. A quick search brought up this article in the National Post of all places:

http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/12/04/brett-hodnett-the-real-math-behind-attawapiskats-90-million/

90 million over 5 years for every single one of your expenses, including education and safe drinking water is not much, especially in a northern community. I'm not sure if you are aware of the cost of building houses and maintaining them in the far north. Not only are materials hard to come by (transported by air or on winter ice roads) but there is a lack of experienced contractors. Some are flown in at a huge cost. Also, something the article neglected to mention is that Attawapiskat suffered some flooding and sewer back up a few years back and they have not yet recovered and fixed the damages from that due to a lack of funding. That has added to the burden, but as the article says, even if you didn't fix a single house over 5 years, the amount of money allocated for housing is still not enough to solve the crisis.

So you see, the outrage over the 90 million is just false, manufactured, media outrage. It's the conservatives trying, yet again, to blame the victims and avoid taking responsibility for lack of funding.
