Should fit in quite well ...
... though I hope he's not too right-wing for them.

1. Memo to Frank Field
Dear Frank

Poverty is due to the fact the poor have less money than everyone else.

Should make your report a doddle though you may need to pad it out a bit

Can I have my fee now as I am a bit skint ?

Yours Feds

2. Frank Field's job will doubtless be to think six unthinkable things each day before breakfast
I remember in the run-up to the Speaker's election, it looked for a while as though we might end up with the somewhat surreal spectacle of a contest between Labour MP Frank Field supported by the Tories, vs Tory MP John Bercow supported by Labour.

He seems to have the typical Tory attitude to poverty (it's poor people's own fault!)

3. If the poor only just stopped being poor, then there'd be no poverty
We must stop their benefits to help them realise this fact.

4. ... or, as I heard a comedian put it succinctly many years ago ...
"What are rich people? Only poor people with money".

5. I think that's just about the best summary of the Tory/ Republican approach to poverty
that I've ever seen.
