Tevez says he would play for Liverpool
The news will anger Alex Ferguson, who has always refused to sell his stars to Anfield.

But unless United make the Tevez loan move permanent, they will be powerless as the player is a free agent this summer.

Fergie blocked Gabriel Heinze moving to Liverpool two years ago even though they wanted to sell him.

Liverpool have contacted Tevez’s owner Kia Joorab- chian to register their interest and the Argentine is keen on the move.

It will enable Tevez, 25, to continue living in Cheshire where his family are settled. He is not concerned by any animosity the move might cause as he has already stated his desire to stay and feels United do not want him

1. United shouldn't be too mad
Tevez did his job well in helping United get grab another Premier trophy - and maybe more, with the Champions League still to be decided.

2. Isn't it more about competition though?
At least that's what I've read on other football forums. That Fergie would block the sale even if he didn't want the player, just to keep him from going to a team that's competitive.

It's just forum talk, so I have no idea how accurate it is.

3. Tev will quit United

Now free agent Tevez is set to join United’s fiercest rivals Liverpool — and there will be nothing Ferguson can do about it.

The player waved an emotional goodbye to the fans after their last home game against Arsenal on Saturday which clinched the Premier League title.

4. Yeah...
that wave was pretty telling.

I didn't intend to watch it at all but I did catch a little of the second half.
