Planets are back in line
Liverpool thumps Stoke 4-0- We are bringing in a big 6'5 Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos to shore up the back. Now we just need Tuncay, Van Da Vaart or Silva and off we go. Glen Johnson was quality yesterday! I'd a paid 17 million straight away but since Pompie owed us 7 we got Glenny on the cheap. Waiting on Aquaman to get fit for Chelsea on 4/10/2009 then bring on the Arse and Womancity!

1. Amen
Johnson will create a new dynamic overlapping from the back. I thought dropping Babel for Benayoun was a big part of the difference...

2. agreed
Yossi is a creative element that we miss with babel for sure. If Glenny looks half as good as he did bombing forward we should do well. Once Aquaman is fit we have another weapon.

3. Narrow win away for Liverpool...
Johnson continues to impress, Gerrard does what's expected and Yossi had a good game...

5. Perhaps Ryan Babel should be kept away from home too!
What a sulky waste of talent he has been at Anfield so far.

Attacking Rafa in the press now too.

Silly, silly, boy.

6. Babel is a waste
He has been asked to play out of position just like Kuyt and Gerrard were asked to do by Rafa, so he needs to shut it. He will be gone in Jan and it will be Ngog's turn to see what he can do. He won't see any time now that he has slated rafa in the press. Ajax for 4 Mil would be a gift to us. I hope Ngog can play.

7. and Yossi pulls off the hat-trick
so much for Reina's comments about finishers...Think Rafa set that up?

4-0 and looking good.

Babel should be traded asap...

8. Benayoun is an example to follow
At the end of his first stop-start season at Anfield there was much speculation that he would be moved on. Rather than sulk and ask for a transfer he knuckled down and opted to try to win a place in the team instead. He was struggling to be a regular starter for the first half of his second season too, but finally his persistence paid off, and he was instrumental in Liverpool's strong finish. His last-gasp winner at Craven Cottage against Fulham which revived Liverpool's title bid was one of the high-points of their season.

He is a cracking little player with more than a touch of Peter Beardsley about him. Be interesting to see how he plays against his old club West Ham next weekend.

As for Babel, for goodness sake have a word with him Yossi!

9.  Stevie G move
I wish we did not have to bring him back to a central midfield role but we have no choice at the moment. Lucas did play well Saturday. He was physical on the ball and kept things steady with a solid performance. Voronin needs to finish but I was impressed when he laid the ball off a couple of times, once to Stevie and once to Yossi. He could have taken both shots. Just hope the new shirt deal (sorry to see Carlsberg go after 17 years) gives rafa some cash to spend on Silva or Villa in January.

11. Babel has got to come through

I have been slating him quite a bit but I realize what I was reading was quotes in the press. Rafa was still giving him a game so.....Now that he has cleared the air with Rafa I hope he can provide quality off the bench. Confidence from Rafa could make all the difference. We need to sort out the defence or the big 4/5 will skin us for 3 every match. As of this week Liverpool had not given up a goal in open play. 100%set pieces- Chelsea will be gaggin for a game of set pieces. If they get them LFC will have a long day ahead.

I didn't get to see the match because the stream was crap and we had about 4 different things on the schedule Saturday.
