Help me our here DUers, am I given to understand that alberto GONEzales' girl monica, who is to tearfully testify today, is one of 150 born agains from pat robbertson's school that were placed in our government when bush let the crazies in?

Please correct me if I am wrong as I am so often.

This is another glaring, yet generally unknown example of the obliteration of the separation of church and state.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/max-blumenthal/monica-goodling-one-of-1_b_44588.html

Monica Goodling, a previously unknown Justice Department official who served as liaison to the White House, has become a key figure in the Attorneygate scandal. When newly released emails revealed the prominent role Goodling played in engineering the firing of seven US Attorneys, Goodling pled the Fifth Amendment, refusing to testify under oath.

Josh Marshall writes that Goodling may be "afraid of indictment for perjury because she has to go up to Congress and testify under oath before the White House has decided what its story is."

Goodling's involvement in Attorneygate is not the only aspect of her role in the Bush administration that bears examination. Her membership in a cadre of 150 graduates of Pat Robertson's Regent University currently serving in the administration is another, equally revealing component of the White House's political program.

Goodling earned her law degree from Regent, an institution founded by Robertson "to produce Christian leaders who will make a difference, who will change the world." Helping to purge politically disloyal federal prosecutors is just one way Goodling has helped fulfill Robertson's revolutionary goals.

1. Yes, she graduated from Robertson's Regent University
That said, since Regent is an accredited university with a law school approved of by the ABA, it's difficult to cite this as a breach of church and state.

4. A TV Evangelist opens a fourth-tier law school, 150 of its grads get top Justice...
Department assignments, and it's difficult to see the breach of church and state?

2. Immunity or not, I don't expect one word of truth to cross her lips today.
She'll be well taken care of, just as Gonzo has been. "God" will protect her...with a boatload of cash and a non-too-subtle threat to her very existence.

6. I think
That the immunity agreement is based on the premise that if she lies, there is no immunity. So a boatload of cash won't do her any good, except to pay her attorney fees.

But, let's wait and see what happens, remember Kyle Sampson isn't done yet and he and Monica were working together. If she lies they still have him!!!!

Miss Monica is not the only one.
If you're a Regent Univerity Law school grad, you graduate to a job in the Whitehouse.

23. Did you notice that she testified to having asked to retain her authority
over hiring decisions when she moved to the AG's office? She was questioned about it. It was outside tbe scope of her new responsibilities and she insisted on retaining this control. Why should a junior level political appointee insist on retaining such authority? Does anyone else smell the sulfur that Robertson leaves in his wake?

and there you have it, separation of church and state, since she was hiring "conservatives" there is no problem, Right??? (if you are a christian too).

There is a problem and it is that they don't see the problem.
