Man lost job, wife, feared foreclosure, shot son and daughter, then self.
Neighbors who were interviewed said he was a loving, attentive father, always out with his children. His wife had left several weeks earlier. The son is in critical care. The daughter died.

OXFORD, Mass. (AP) -- Friends of a Massachusetts man police say fatally shot his 7-year-old daughter, critically injured his 9-year-old son, and killed himself had been under extreme stress recently.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said after the shootings Saturday night that 41-year-old Daryl Benway had separated from his wife just weeks ago.

Friends and neighbors tell The Boston Globe that Benway had also recently lost his job and feared his home might be foreclosed upon.

Benway's son, Owen, was found shot in the head in the kitchen and was taken to UMass Memorial Children's Medical Center where he remained Sunday night.

The last three stories I have posted this morning have been as follows: the above story; a story saying child abuse increases when people are losing their homes or homeless; and a story about California's having enacted a law to stop abusive practices by mortgage lenders.

Do the math.

And Republicans call it class warfare only when the 99% want the 1% to pay their fair share of taxes.
