Whatever you think of the woman who was shot in Washington DC,
did the shooting of a woman suffering from post partum depression whose baby was in the back seat of her car warrant both a standing ovation from Congress and of statement that the baby was not harmed (supposedly no one knew that a baby was in the car).

But, hey, the perimeter was not breached. Mind you, "the perimeter" does not have constitutional rights or a baby. Shouldn't someone or something have been somewhere near being in actual danger before the police shot?

Well, maybe not. I don't know what the considerations are or what their orders were. But a standing ovation for the shooting of a sick woman, leaving a baby without a mom? Jesus God.

We seem to get more fascist by the month, if not the week.

1. It seems to me they could
have used a less than lethal means to subdue her. But, as you say, there is a lot of this going around, even right here in my small community.

2. Maybe, Enthusiast.
I don't know if something like shooting out her tires would have been excessively dangerous. I don't know.

But I do feel very strongly that nothing justifies a standing ovation in Congress. It's just bizarre, IMO.

3. Cruelty, intolerance, greed

and bigotry are being cultivated by the far right. And it has had the desired effect. The cops are quicker to raise their guns and clubs when there is a better course of action available. Like the financial bandits that no longer answer for their crimes, the cops are also now largely free from scrutiny.

It's clear that Congress doesn't recognize this coarsening of the nation. I guess they already have their's.

4. Here ya go.
More evidence of the new ultra-cruel police attitude that is on the upswing.

5. Jesus.
The RW attacks on the disabled probably are not helping.
