Republicans say they'll work with Obama on GOP ideas

Republican leaders said today they can work with President Obama on a variety of items he supports -- all of which happen to be long-standing Republican proposals as well.

A revival of nuclear power; more off-shore drilling for oil and gas; development of "clean coal" technology; and passage of long-standing free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama, and South Korea .

These proposals also have varying amounts of opposition among congressional Democrats -- though, as McConnell pointed out, Obama endorsed each one in his recent State of the Union speech.

"These will be job generators," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., after bipartisan leaders meeting with President Obama.
