"Kurdish leaders converged on Baghdad for last-minute talks Monday with majority Shiites as both sides pressed to secure a deal to form a coalition government before the newly elected parliament meets for the first time later this week."

Are these people faceless? Maybe it might a bit useful to know who these so-called Kurds and Shiites are. Again our depth of reporting so the American public can learn something is missing in action. They are barely mentioned, but same tired stuff about "no fly zones" and majority ethich group. It is peope who are going to lead this government. I hope the Iraqi people are aware of their past records. As far as I can see there are two war lords and a theocratic leader making deals for its devastated citizens.
