In the south, it's not genteel to discuss things like molestation. The South lags behind other regions of the US in that many people here feel that molestation is something to be dealt with silently, perhaps to be reported to law enforcement authorities.

For this to have gone this far...investigation-wise and reportage...something had to have happened. My guess is that it's much worse than what the media is reporting. Much worse. Because, as I said before, we Southerners don't talk about that kind of thing.

Now think more about it. One guy's already confessed, and the carpeting in the church has been removed, obviously to test for DNA. A photo album has been removed from a home, obviously because it comtains evidence of the abuse.

I live about 50 miles from where this happened. I know that neck of the woods. It doesn't surprise me one bit that this has been happening.
