Our greatest hope was that asswipe. She would be too batty and uneducated to sway the other SCOTUS. Miers didn't come off confident, knowledgeable, or respectable. That's how I want my conservatives-- easily dismissed.
Now we're gonna get screwed with some complete loony strict-constructionist. Even if Miers said she was a strict constructionist, I don't buy that she would really know what it meant when she decided.
