GWB is narcissistic enough to believe that he's been chosen by God to ignite the war to end all wars in the middle east to bring about the resurrection etc, etc (the ultimate neocon agenda). I don't think any of this bothers him. He actually stated that long after his term he'll still be able to look himself in the mirror (and how he must love mirrors) and believe that he's done a good job.
