"Passion" mostly rotten

Just for those who might be curious, and insofar as it as another thread in the fabric of current political/religious chatter -- Mel Gibson's "The Passion" is registering a 53 percent "approval" rating at Rottentomatoes.com
(http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ThePassionoftheChrist-1129941/

which, by their lights, makes it "rotten." They have collected 159 reviews from reputable reviewers around the country to this moment, and 85 say go see it, 74 say don't. Interestingly, only 38 percent of the so-called "major" reviewing outlets thought the picture is worth seeing. Don't know what it means -- many things or nothing possibly. But there it is. By the way, many of the reviews are good reading... some great lines.
