I've decided I'm sending mine back..Purple Hearts and the rest

I have a few medals from Vietnam Service including two purple hearts and many other awards including three V Devices. I had planned on passing them down to my grandchildren but my eleven years old grandson just told me soldiers from Vietnam didn't deserve their medals. He said all his friends are telling him that. I have my scars to remind me so I don't need any of the medals. They are meaningless to my grandchildren so they are meaningless to me as well. I just am not sure where to send them. Should I send them to my Republican Senator or the Media or to the pResident. The trouble with sending them to the Whitehouse is they will just toss them and it will be a meaningless gesture. I am leaning toward sending them to Ted Stevens my ranking Senator. Any advice from the peanut gallery?
