28. How could you possibly be glad he voted the way he did?
Has it not dawned on you that he voted that way based on LIES and BS spun by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Powell? You're glad he was tricked by the Repubs into letting them go play with their toys in the Iraqi sand?

What possible reason still remains to support Gep's pro-war vote, or anyone else's pro-war vote for that matter? Imminent threat from WMD's? Nope, over half a year of searching and zip WMD's. Links to Al Queda? Nope, even Bush and Powell dismissed those themselves. What's left? Saddam was an evil tyrant? If you want to support the invasion based on Saddam's human rights violations, there are literally dozens of countries currently ruled by tyrants and dictators who have killed many times more civilians than Saddam ever did. Why didn't we invade them first? If we were really invading based entirely on our urge to free repressed people, our troops should be swarming throughout Southeast Asia, Central Africa and Central/South America before Iraq.

I have no problem with you disagreeing with me or anyone else here on DU. My problem is you don't offer any explanation to support your position, only short, vague remarks. I really want to know, what are you glad about, exactly?
