Along with the House of Saud about to fall, the Wahhabi radicals in charge. So you could postulate the real urgency for going to war now was if Hussein was about to collapse with Iraq's Sunnis then joining with Iran, and we simulataneously lose our bases in Saudi Arabia - you then have 2/3rds of the world's oil controlled by two nations ruled by opposing radical Islamic sects. And the US no longer has a military presence in the region. (Not that we're entitled too especially.)
