1. We need mandatory voting, election day as a national holiday
Move election day to Wed. to make it unappealing to use as a vacation weekend. Election day would be a national holiday and voting would be mandatory, punishable by a $100 fine. Local communities would have local boards that would review requests for waivers of the fines for non-voters. Local boards could also perform oversight of the elections in their communities and report their findings back to state and federal officials.

I'd rather be constituting those kinds of boards rather than reconstituting the draft boards.
