What to do about this? How can we convince these people that, as a matter of fact, Muslim lives are every bit as important as theirs? That's what it comes down to, isn't it?

You can't argue with these people, because they don't hold the same basic assumptions. I mean, everything I believe and argue from rests on the idea that every human life is valuable. If you disagree with that -- no dialogue makes any sense.

It just freaks me out.

All one can hope is that these insane people are in the minority.
