62. Thing is... and I'm guilty too. With the Internet, how many really
buy newspapers anymore or pay attention to commercials?

There is such an information overload, I used to just turn off the news because it depressed me. Now I understand that is where MY repsonsibility for the mess we're in begins.

As bad as the neocons, I just didn't want to know. I naively thought that if we rallied together for Kerry it would be ok. I thought the DEMS out there as "challengers" or really "non-challengers" to make sure no one was supressing vote rights would correct the pre-campaign messes of DEM registrations being thrown away in 2 states.

I had heard a little bit about partisan agencies only registering Republicans. Attempts to disenfranchiese people by using lists of "felons" and their alias' as a way to purge the vote roles. How many John Smiths and William Jones had to re-register or fill out provisional ballots?

But never in my wildest dreams did I think to hear the head of a major news corporation say publically that their job is to lie for the government. I guess since the Republicans have lost a little control in the Senate they are grabbing for the press again. Damm insecure little bastards.
