8. The Plame outing was not special to them.
They avenge anyone who disagrees with them, is independent or embarrasses them. Think Richard Clarke, Paul O'Neil, Kerry, Dean, etc. Anyone they view as an opponent, they tear down in any way they can. And they cover up everything and keep everything secret. What is more they aggressively use every dirty trick they can think of.

They don't mind the fines, and they have always been willing to sacrifice some underling when their machinations have come to light. This crew, including Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush Senior, Rove, Matalin, et al. have always operated in that fashion. This is merely the first time they are being personally embarrassed by their tactics. I use the word "embarrassed" because we still don't know whether they will be charged with crimes or whether justice will be done. Thus far, they are just being embarrassed a bit. But the Plame matter is just their modus operandi. I know of no Democrats who use these kinds of dirty tricks so frequently and so flagrantly as the Bush crowd. There have been corrupt Democrats, but I have never heard of Democrats sinking so low so often.
