7. Surfing Lighthouse Point in Winter storms, 1982-83.

The lines of breakers 15 ft. high came in and sprayed the spectators on cliffs 75 ft. above. One of life's peak moments.

I lived in a little, drafty shack on the edge of the Park, worked as a welder during the day, and wrote my column for the Santa Cruz Express late at night.

Anyone remember Buzz Buzore, the Express editor. Anyone remember the Express? I understand Sam Farr may retire from Congress, is that true?
