It's bad enough that we do it, but perhaps if we did it with a modicum of sadness or regret, it wouldn't be quite so bad. The way we do it makes it even more repulsive. We are downright gleeful about it, we say we want to flip the switch ourselves, that's how it feeds the idea that killing those who have wronged you is acceptable and works it way into the murderous mindset this country has.
