31. I would rather not take advice from slugs...

I know about tough times, and being true Democrats...both you and I know if Carter had been re-elected all citizens would now have health insurance. Taxes would now be lower, because we would not be paying the high price of past deficit spending. Gas prices would be lower, demand for foreign oil would be lower, and the Persian Gulf War nor the Iraqi War would not of happened. More people would be employed, and those few who would be unemployed could join a job training-job placement program rather than the currently sliced and diced welfare programs. Finally, the Cold War would have ended years sooner, and in a more stable way.

Soviets would have not of completely collapsed, and begun selling nuclear material worldwide. Rather we would have ended our differences peacefully in the mid-eighties, and they could of slowly converted to a market economy with our help.

In other words, we are all suffering more today because of Carter's defeat..not better off because of Reagan-shrubanomics!
