7. Swamp coolers
work by evaporation. If humidity is high, no evaporation, put on vent.
Use a fan, my grandmother had some nice Japanese fans to wave on herself. BTW, it was the heat in El Paso that took outside to the porch to see a funny light, which proved to be the explosion of the first atomic bomb. Heat will do strange things.
