like you give up on the political battle or on life in general? I used to think that nothing mattered when I was feeling sucidal when I was in my teen years. Like I said before I do not know why but I have not felt like that in over 5 years. When I was a student and I would feel like that it would last for weeks or months at a time (this continued on through the university and graduate school). All I did was just do my homework to keep my grades up and save up for my next vacation. Even a low budget 15 day camping trip did wonders for my mood.

Nowdays I try to take solice in little things I do that do make a difference such as eating locally grown organic vegetables, walking to work, marching in a protest, teaching a lesson about the welfare state to my students.
