OK, Siamese kitteh "owners"...help me out here.

A friend of a friend has a kitteh that needs a temporary home, that may turn into a long term situation. This is the kitteh in question:



I have heard all the stories about their screaming, er...vocalizing -- how true are they? Has anyone had a quiet(ish) Siamese?? Anyone with experience in bringing one into a multicat household? Anything else, breed-specific, I should know about them before I commit? It may be hard for me to meet the kitteh before it comes to me, so I want to get as much info from the cat's "owner" and other Siamese people to help with my decision.
