Upload speed, for MN, is 256kb. DSL gave me 768kb.

The $25 price is an intro and will go up to $42 (if you have cable) or $50 (if you don't have cable).

Now add in the cost of a cable modem.

And a router if you have more than one PC and hope Comcast can't sniff it out.

Then a hardware firewall.

Don't forget, DSL is dedicated to you. You share cable with others and the smarter ones can find their way in, especially if you're on the same segment. Get a software firewall too. I've both.)

While affordable DSL download speed is around 1.5mb, upload speed is more often greater than cable.
