11. Happened to me twice in a year.
Almost identical situation, each time.

Mt advice would be not to take it lightly. As I am learning from experience (mostly my wife's injuries), you can seem nothing more than banged up, but end up having problems that impact your life forever.

See your doctor to follow up from whatever the E-room said (they missed the fact that I had a large gash on my head and my wife had a broken wrist). They're just making sure you're not going to die.

Be VERY aware of head and neck problems. They can get worse with time. My wife is never withour back and neck pain, and it even turns into a limp sometimes b/c of spinal damage. Plus she has premanent jaw, vision and memory problems.

If your doctor recommends going to a specialist, DO SO. Keep records and, if need be, get a lawyer.

The whole "whiplash" thing is a bit of a stereotype, but high speed accidents will almost always leave you with some kind of back/neck injury, and it may not be apparent at first.
