I didn't see 1999 or 2001 so I don't know how it compared, but last year's Leonids were the single most spectacular meteor display I have ever seen.

If that wasn't a peak year, then I must have really missed something special in 1999 and 2001.

How is this year supposed to compare to last year? Even if it's only half or a quarter as good, it will be well worth watching.
