Around this area, they are trying to curb "Random Camping" Which means people going in to the woods to camp anywhere. So they have "guidelines" in place asking people to stay no longer than 14 days in one spot and things like that....but they are guidlines NOT LAWS. Last year the forrest officers went around bullying people in to leaving by saying the HAD to go and their trucks could be towed i f they didn't leave...and all that stuff, essentially they were telling people they legally had to leave. Liars

Well I did a story for next weeks paper. I called the head office of ALberta Sustainable resources and got all the facts.

THe story lets readers know that they ARE only guidelines a nd that no officer can tell you to leave or tow your vehicle after 14 days. HA!! While I see the officers point, I don't like how they lied to citizens and threatend them. So this year they can't pull that shit.

I went to talk to them today, they don't like me much now and even tried to get me to let them read the story before it went to press. I don't accuse them of anything, but I do let the public know what their rights are...so if they try to bully folks next summer they will get in shit. I feel so......good.
