1. I remember my great-gradfather visiting us at our home in Silver Spring.
I could see him in the kitchen drinking beer from his metal cup and eating Cheez Doodles.

One day I found his death certificate. He had died in 1964. I was only two years old then, and we hadn't moved to Silver Spring yet! I had heard so many stories about him that they became "memories."
