23. here
a woman tells a man that she is "too confused" right now to date anyone and just needs friends. (SEEMS PRETTY CLEAR) That she had to learn to be alone and she just needed to focus on herself and her kids before she would be any good for anyone. (PERFECTLY UNDERSTANDABLE)

The same day she changes her profile on myspace to "single" (WHICH IS TRUE, OKAY)

a few days later the man sees her profile on OKCupid again with a pic and "single" (dating site) (STILL A TRUE STATEMENT, OKAY)

So this man is thinking that maybe this person thought they (WHO'S THEY? THE MAN? THE WOMAN? BOTH OF THEM?-"THEY" IS PLURAL YOU KNOW. SOMEONE YOU DID NOT MENTION?) were letting the guy down easy ABOUT WHAT? WAS HE TURNED DOWN AFTER A JOB INTERVIEW? WAS HE GIVEN SOME BAD NEWS ABOUT SOMETHING? WAS THE MAN INTERESTED IN DATING THE WOMAN? IF SO, YOU DID NOT SAY SO.

but then knowing (WHO IS KNOWING?) that the guy would be on both of those sites and see these things, what do you make of the whole thing? I DON"T SEE WHAT IT HAS TO DO WITH HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE.

I'm thinking... maybe it was good riddance? HUH? GOOD RIDDANCE OF WHAT AND BY WHOM?
