DU, that is. Since the last time I spent significant time here, I watched an amazing video of WTC7 coming down. Amazing because there was NO WAY it was brought down by anything other than a controlled demo. There are structural engineers who agree with that.

I don't know what really happened. I do know the official version has problems, and that video contradicts it. I suspected an insurance scam, pulled off by the nominal owner of the buildings, since with a billion dollars involved, he could pretty easily recruit enough martyrs to do the job for him. That's how suicide bombers work, by the way. You recruit suckers willing to martyr themselves for your own selfish gains. So yeah, IMO, real pilots, real arabs, real hijackers, probably even really was Bin Laden.

But more, too. Bombs in the buildings to make sure the destruction was complete. Bombs that point the finger at other people.

So I see that DU puts 9-11 questioners in the same forum with batboy, UFOs, various assassination theories ... basically anything really nutty. In other words, if you don't buy the official line on the events of 9-11, you are a nutjob. A whacko. That would appear to be the offical DU position.

So if you are looking for the truth about 9-11 and you don't buy the official conspiracy theory, you are a nut. A lunatic who needs to be locked away in a forum where you can be safely ridiculed and demeaned, but not really heard.

How does that feel?

Especially if you are an otherwise accomplished person, a person whose achievements would otherwise earn you respect. I don't know. To me it feels like inquiry into this isn't really wanted, and that what is wanted is to marginalize and belittle people with questions.

They should have a forum for crazies who think the Army experimented on prisoners by injecting them with syphillis... Oh wait. That really happened. Or whackos who think we have death squads in Afghanistan ... Oh wait. We do. Or loonies who think we were the ones who originally funded and created Al Qaida ... oh wait. We did, to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. Or morans who think we traded guns and dope money to get hostages back from Iran to throw a presidential election ... oh yeah. We did that, too.

Well, obviously there is no room in the main forums for people who are skeptical of the government's version of the events of 9-11, though. Because our government wouldn't lie to us about something that important.
