Want to Share-Ups and downs in Texas

I went to my rural "corner store" this evening. Ya'll know what I mean. All rural areas have a corner store. Where you can get gas, beer and an old fashiioned hamburber. While I was waiting for my burger, I was looking around at all the good ole boys, thinking to myself, repugs, oh vey. Good thing I kept my sneer to myself, because as I was leaving, one of the pickemup trucks parked out front was sporting a beautiful Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker. Woohoo. What a wonderful surprise. Ok, its the little things in life, you know. So I was hurrying home to share this tidbit with my DU friends, and discovered some repug had stolen my Kerry/Edwards sign I had up down at the end of my easement.

Not to worry, I had another one in my trunk, which I immediately put up. Of course I bruised my hand hammering it into the ground with a rock, but I got my sign back up DAMM IT.

Then, as if the angels knew that I was bummed, my phone rang and one of my employees called to share the good news that she had just voted, for Kerry of course. Have any of you noticed how much more exciting it is this time to VOTE? I have been voting for many many years, and this time it felt more awesome than it ever has. I have noticed that everyone that votes feels this overwhelming urge to call people and shout from the rooftops that their vote is in. I sent 4 text messages on my way home from voting.

We gotta win this.
