They don't go around bashing each other's approach to politics and come together as a united front against a bunch of democrats, liberals, and progressives who show NO cohesiveness, are divided amongst themselves, and attack each other as much as they do the opponant.
Ed Shultz resonates with a lot of blue collar union folks working in factories. I'll tell you something as a former manufacturing manager from the midwest (now settled in the liberal oasis of Portland Oregon): Rhandi Rhodes don't cut with the guys "out back" (in the shops). As talented and knowledgable as she is about the issues, her style doesn't sit well with the "meat eating, gun toting, lefties" out there. Ed Shultz's style does. Until the Democratic party can grow a unifed spine, stop dividing themselves among their pet issues, and confront the right wing machine head on there is little hope to turn this thing around.
There is room for Shultz and there is room for Rhodes. Geez...the right wing laughs themselves into office watching us on the left bicker among ourselves.
To paraphrase an old saying: "Fool me once..." oh not that one, sorry: "A party divided cannot stand".
