Kerry on Obama's "experience" and as a requisite for President

In his endorsement, Kerry says: "... experience is defined not by time in Washington or years in office, but by wisdom, instinct and vision." and lists Jefferson as an example of a young president. He also says that foreign knowledge can come "not from a book or a briefing – but by personal experience – by gut – by instinct."

So, while these are fine arguments for excusing Obama from rigorous and (for him) unattainable standards of conventional experience, Kerry himself made the argument in 2004 that "Howard Dean has no foreign-policy experience whatsoever, and George Bush has proven that this is not the time for on-the-job training for a President."
So, I am not saying Kerry is wrong now, or was wrong then, but I would like someone to ask him about it.
And BTW, I am a big John Kerry fan and so, I will consider Obama much more seriously now that he has spoken.
