I read a piece on Kos the other day that should be read by all Democrats, regardless of which candidate they support. I'll do my best to paraphrase it.

If you're a touchdown ahead, think: It's the 4th quarter and I'm down by two touchdowns.

If you are up by five points in the most recent polls, think: I am 30 points down with no time to spare.

If you are way ahead in the race, think: I am behind and I must run faster.


The way we will win is by wanting it more than the other side. We must work harder; we must be more diligent; we must be more agile; we must demand more of ourselves. And when our poll numbers are perfect, and the press we receive is glowing, and if daisies are growing out of our butts, think: We are doomed unless we work harder and refuse to stop until we've won.
