to an Independence Day parade.

She could have worn anything. Designers are salivating to dress her. But she picked a dress off the racks at a Gap store. And I think the dress is lovely. If I ever wore dresses (I'm a jeans type woman), I'd already have bought that dress. It's simple, inexpensive, and she looks great in it.

I think her quotation about the earrings was a minor gaffe...we don't want to make gaffes like this when we're nailing McCain and his surrogates for the same thing...but I don't think that she said that she intended to spend her $600 on earrings...my guess is that she won't even be in the income category to receive a "stimulus" check.

I'm posting this for my friend, Elrond Hubbard, who keeps me grounded from time to time, and I hope he says the same thing about me. (And I'm gonna be major embarassed if he doesn't show up in this thread. :D )
