One party I haven't seen thanked yet: The city of Chicago

There's something about Chicago, the "city of big shoulders" as Sandburg called it. It became a big city by one part great location and five parts hard work. But it became a great city by never losing its heart, never forgetting its roots. There's something about Chicago and the culture of that town that produces great people and can-do attitudes. Even its big city machine pols seem to never forget to work for justice and fairness.

Chicago helped shaped the career of a man who by his grace, ambition, vision, and brilliant execution will set all of America back on its right course--and in doing so will reignite the torch of liberty for the whole world.

Thank you, Chicago, you toddling town. Thank you for giving us President Obama, Jesse Jr, Rahm, Dan Rostenkowski, Hillary Clinton, Harold Washington, the "Hi Bob" drinking game, Mike Royko, and too many others to list here. Whatever y'all have been doing to make such wonderful people with such generous hearts, keep at it.
