He has the Texas taxpayers paying $9900 a month for the home he and his wife are staying in due to arson at the Governor's Mansion. Arson that would not have happened had the security team been doing their job.

He can stand on the steps of the Capitol and give a speech about how he supports a Senate and House bill that will require women who decide to have an abortion to undergo a mandatory ultrasound (in which the doctor will have to point out organs and other development) and listen to the baby's heartbeat but he denies stimulus $$ to help the unemployed.

Our unemployment fund is reported to be $800 million IN THE HOLE this fall. He says he is denying the stim money because of the strings attached but on 3/10/2009 Republican Representive Tan Parker has submitted a bill that will change the unemployment laws so that Texas could get the stim. money but he put a sunset clause that states when the federal $$ from the bill that Pres. Obama runs out for unemployment, Texas will revert back to the old unemployment rules.

With a bill like that sitting in the Legislature, there is no reason to deny funds except for political gain. I have had issues with him for other reasons but this is ridiculous and he should be ashamed (but I know he is not).
