For the purposes of the DU rules, if you've got something that looks like a sig line in your post we are going to treat it as a sig line... Even if you're not actually using the sig line function.

We have rules about the content and size of members' signature lines. Recently, we've had a few "clever" people try to get around our rules regarding signature lines by simply bypassing the signature line function, and posting off-topic flame bait directly in each of their posts. This is a very bad idea. We've sent many warnings about it, and two unrepentant offenders have been banned. (For those of you keeping score in your secure location, one was a Dean supporter, the other was a Clark supporter. I can't believe that I actually have to tell you that.)

So, if you are dropping inflammatory, off-topic crap directly into your posts and treating them like sig lines, you're going to get your posts deleted and you're going to get warnings.

Enough is enough.
