If Michelle Obama was attacked in the same way--my estimation of Barack would depend on his response. I believe he would come out swinging as well.



During a debate w/ McCain (should she receive the nomination), I would love someone to ask McCain if he regrets his "ugly" comment about Chelsea and the issue of Reno...while Hilary stood at the podium w/ raised eyebrow.

The point is, Kerry caved on the swiftboats. Clinton (Bill) didn't when he was attacked. He fought back as much as possible.

The lily-livered approach doesn't work.

Shuster had been redeeming himself after his career with Faux Noise. He, unfortunately, got mixed up with the Matthews, Todd, Carlson crowd a bit too much. He needs some help in terms of issues of professional decorum. I suspect he will get it. I'll welcome him back with open arms. He's paying for his mistake--which is something that can't be said for Russert, Matthews, etc.
