Talked about Kerry's Vietnam service, how people with him then remember 30 years later what he did, and how he will never leave behind our troops or our veterans.

Great line: "John Kerry will be a President who will LEAD the world, not BULLY it." I don't have the exact wording but you get the idea.

He sounded several of his familiar themes about jobs and opportunity and hope, but blended them with praise of Kerry and that the American people will reject the negativity of their opponents' upcoming campaign.

Kerry embraced him afterward and said, "what do you think of my vice presidential choice?" The crowd went wild! But CNN cut off Kerry afterwards :-(.

Now, UGH, Candy Crowley pontificates...
