26. a note of encouragement
I was at the Kerry rally in Denver on Friday & spoke with a man in his 50's (like me). He said he hadn't voted in 30 years, but this year he's so pissed off that he's not only going to vote, but he's going to rallies. I think that there are many people like him that may just need an extra push. People know that the way our country is being run just isn't right. Even cynics know that Bush has crossed the line.

Someone on this string said they keep voter registration forms in their car to hand out. It's things like that that will make the difference. That gave me the idea to leave some registration forms at the 'subversive' coffee shops and book stores I seem to hang out in.

We all need to do whatever we can to convince the undecided, get the non-voters to the polls, and encourage each other to stay focused. It helps to give each other ideas that are easy to do.

99 more days of constant attention. The conservatives have been doing that for the last few decades. Now it's our turn to step it up!
