79. Now *THAT* is a sexist statement if I ever saw one!
First: let's lighten up a bit - we're starting to look like a bunch of anally retentive puritans here.

Now to the meat of the original post. Cheswick, you'd only have a point if the satire-borne remarks -- to which you so seemingly righteous object -- boil down to calling Laura on her apparent (and as of yet undisproven!) past prostitution activities because she is a woman. Nonesuch seen by me. Else, kindly provide a topic started in that particular vein to disprove me.

You can't.

Because there is no such topic. Moreover: prostitution is not a gender-determined profession. While it's quite likely true that most prostitutes are female, the number of male prostitutes is large enough to refrain from labeling all prostitutes as necessarily female. So, next time you jump the gun shrieking 'sexism' when someone mentions 'woman' and 'harlot' in the same sentence, think again - at the peril of showing a tainted hand yourself. It's a biased accusation to make, akin to accusing Kerry of being a Liberal. As if that's a bad thing. Or are you opposed to prositution altogether? Is that your point?

I think I understand your point about connecting a woman with prostitution in a pejorative fashion as 'too obvious' and/or 'too facile' and therefore a morally reprehensible thing to do.

But I dearly hope that next time satire bites you in the ass, you don't accuse it of fondling your buttocks out of a homosexual obsession - and we all know that attempts at smearing someone with accusations of homosexuality is a reprehensible thing, as accepting of homosexuals and prostitutes as we Liberals are, right? Right?

Jeezus. Next thing: we accuse Kerry of being a politician, just because he happens to be a Democrat...

Oh wait.

Now, about that dog poo fetish...
