18. Very true. Plus, BushInc lied to even Powell so he'd in turn lie to his Democratic friends
in the senate - especially to Joe Biden. Powell's chief of staff who spilled the beans on BushInc noted that WH lied to Powell, too, knowing they needed Powell to believe what he would relay to senate Dems like Biden. Biden and Powell were always VERY CLOSE FRIENDS and Powell's private assurances that Bush would respect weapon inspections was key to Dems supporting IWR.
