23. SO was #8, I was #9.
We got to our polling site at 6:25. Everyone was very excited, and all but one of the people in line were folks who had been at the polls as the same time as us during the Democratic primary. A steady stream of people were coming in after us. Everybody was laughing and joking and happy to see the turnout at our little precinct. Several people were wishing people would be this excited about EVERY election, including me.

One family brought their three kids in so they could see the process -- the oldest, who looked like she was about 12, asked what a provisional ballot was, dad said he didn't know, then he asked one of the pollworkers to explain it. So there was learning going on, too.

No problems with the machines (I'm in West Virginia, where ES&S have been giving us headaches), and things were running very smoothly.

WVU is closed for election day, so I'm back home watching too much news, hanging out here on DU, waiting for the returns, and chilling a bottle of champagne!
